Riva E1 wheel? So whats the deal?

Ok, Everyone. Whats the take on the Riva E1 wheel?
    Stock injecters? With FPR?

Why or why dont you like it?

Compared to C3 or ET LB or even the ET 15.5?

I have searched and there doesnt seam to be much input.

    Thanks in advance Fellas!

the E1 has a strange boost curve and one of the strongest surges out of the medium boost wheels so its become sort of the ugly duckling.the ET wheels seem to have a more linear curve and softer low end surge from what ive seen.the r&d wheels larger exducer makes them hit hard in the mid range but the overall craftsmanship of the wheels fall a bit short of the ET products.many argue wheel weight is important but from what i have seen the difference is negligible.there is however a noticeable difference between the weight of the riva and r&d shafts.

    Can you explain the surge?

I have a C3 and just trying to compare it to a E1 and others. I bought a E1 and figure it would net just a better gain than the C3. To me by the numbers the E1 is strong as hell. 16lbs at 8000. That's the strongest on the 3 I mentioned correct?
Also I'm thinking stock injectors and a base fuel pressure of 55 to start. Should I add the boost reference line? I run the type 14 and R3.

    Please chime in.

Yea, I agree as with the C3 I'm on the edge at 52lbs. I'm just going to start at 55 with reference line. Have LM=2 set up and tune it in.

I'm running an E1 and R3 on my GPR SHO. I haven't used much else, so I can't compare, but I really like it. I'm going to keep that and the reflash the same on my rebuild, which is mainly putting forged parts in the motor and better springs. The only change is to have the R3's rev limiter opened up to about 9500 and I'm told the pink 525 injectors should work well with my set up, which is what we'll add. BTW: I am and will stay on stock compression values.

As far as any kind of boost surge, I can't answer that without another frame of reference. But it does kick in pretty hard. The only thing I had to get used to was all the damn fluttering noise it makes letting off the throttle and at lower rpms. Stab the throttle and it kicks in and gets quiet and smooth.

I would say that's my 2 cents, but based on my lack of experience, I can only give you a penny. But I'm watching other guys try different things and made up my mind that I'm staying with this setup.

PS: I was on a Type 14 cooler, but switched to a Type 3 and changed how it's mounted and got rid of the garbage BOV for a new one. Duke did a lot of work and changed a lot of stuff in there relating to the IC and BOV. I have yet to ride it, as I've just picked it up. I was also on a base fuel pressure of 52, but have upped to almost 55 because of cooler air coming. My AFR's are 12.0 at 8780rpms.

    Hope this helps.

Don't have a boost gauge on there yet. Not sure.

Prolly 16.5 lb... I'd start your rising rate maybe at 36 at idle with hose hooked up...if it was me and start there.

Thanks for the input, but I'm going to start high and back down to be safe. I have the ski on the dock so changing the pressure is extremely fast and easy. literarily make a pass, put on dock and change. Also its cold here now. UNSANE also mentioned his was at 52 and he was gonna bump it up? Whats you LB wheel at?
