    Swap out Supercharger on GTR

    Guys

    Advice please, I've been told that if we swap out the standard oem supercharger on our GTR 215 for the rxpx oem version, this will effectively make our GTR a 260 and we can mod along those lines.

    I appreciate we may need an ecu reflash, so we are looking at the Vtech 8350 so we can keep same injectors etc. Is this worth doing with the supercharger? or are we better off just doing the reflash, air intake, catch can etc.

    Just getting myself totally confused with this darn thing!

    you will need injectors which ever way you go ...

    I was told that the GTR has the new injectors which are fine.

    You will need bigger injectors with that charger. Also you will need some kind of fuel management system and a way to monitor your AFR. That charger alone will get you way too lean at high RPMs.

    with the X charger they need #42 injectors . if you have thous your sweet . Vtech tunes use specified injector sizes .

    If thats the case you should be fine!!! But you better double check.

    ok, thanks for the answers, basically what i'm getting at is, is it worth swapping the charger out and then modding, or keep the same charger and mod anyway. Sorry for the questions got myself confused. cheers

    Do a search on here for what your after , Check others builds and there mods . see how much money you want to spend and how fast you want to go . The online store is the best place to start .

    IMO the X charger is the best bang for the buck!! If you can use the injectors you have right now go for it! i take more boost over any other mod, you can always mod as you go. But keep in mind the modding virus doesnt have a cure!!!

    You will not have the 260 power until you add an external intercooler...With the OEM brass barrel IC in there you will not get the full power of the X charger.....

    Plan on upgrading the IC, along with a larger air intake system, and fuel injectors....then you will have close to the power of the 260....

    BUT until you bypass all of the electronic limiters, you will only go so fast....
