    05 RXP ECU loosing rpm

Hey guys, ive posted my issue a few times in the 4-tec forum and ive run dry there with repsonses.

I have an 05 rxp and im loosing rpm, in the summer (80-95 degrees) 7100rpm and the winter(50-65)degrees) im at 7500 rpm

ive check everything i can think of, took it to the dealer and they want to try puuting in an ECU.

My question is; has anyone seen a large rpm loss from and ECU?

    Thanks

    Sounds like the "Knock" update.

thats the first thing i thought of, install the pigtail for that update and all i get is a knock sensor code.

That would be great!! I should have posted here first. Nobody has an ECU for me to try in the other Subforums.

PM your addy ill pull it this weekend.

What is the date code on the engine harness? the tag is at the waterbox sensor. Some 05's had the resistors built in and some needed the pigtail. Its possible that your harness has the resistors built in and malfunctioned you can ohm the harness for the proper values.

Ill definitly check this! Could the ECU pull so much timing to cause a large rpm loss?
Ive been chasing this issue since i bought.

Have you read the sticky on the valve issues with 05-06 doos?
I'd hate to hear you fixed the rpm issue and have exhaust valve failure with higher rpms...
