Re: Spark aftermarket impellers/pump parts in the works?

Since I don't have a Spark pump in my hands yet due to the parts being on backorder, I can't physically look at the thing but since the 60hp and 90hp both use the same impeller and pump it seems to me Sea Doo is limiting performance somewhat by controlling that (most likely on purpose). Anyone have any info on any performance parts in the works in that area? I would guess Solas and others have things in the works but haven't ran across any info yet. I've seen lots of posts on flashing to get more performance but no one sems to be mentioning pump/impeller mods.

I presume you have broken stator fins in the pump? is the pump alloy?
if so that have it welded and reshape the fins with a dremel ...
to get ya back out on the water

I don't have a Spark (yet) for testing, just am thinking ahead on what people are going to want and aftermarket impellers and parts I would guess are on that list.

The only difference between the 60 and 90 HP is the tuning on the ECU.

We have gotten my own personal Spark to run over 55 mph with just the V-Tech tune and Riva prototype air intake kit. This was with a stock untouched impeller. Once a performance impeller becomes available, watch those speeds climb

The air intake is not currently available, but will be this spring. There are lots of good things in the works. Stay tuned to www.sparkwatercraft.com as all the latest products will be listed there.

I agree! Seems silly for me to be so excited about a ski running in the 50's after building monsters that approached 100 mph, but this ski is just lots of fun and it's exciting to see it come alive after subtle changes. I bet we have 60+ mph naturally aspirated Sparks before it's all over with

In the back of my head I also have a "what if" thought of swapping the ACE into a X4 hull or maybe a 2 stroke into the Spark hull too. Until I actually get a look at one though not sure how/if that would work.

Yeah man! I'm curious as to what a mild turbo kit will do to the Sparks acceleration numbers when they get the pump mods sorted out. This thing could have scary hole shot in the very near future. That excites me more than everything else at right now!

Dave at impros will get ahold of a prop and I'm sure they will make it run faster than the stock prop.
60 hp and 105 hp, they need 2 different pitches.
I already have an extra prop in hand , ready for when they come up with the right pitch.
