Videos: Behold The Chevrolet LS1 V8-Powered Custom WaveBlaster
Why we didnít see this months ago is really the big question here. How we could let news of an insanely-awesome Chevrolet LS1 V8-powered custom jet ski slip our radar for the better part of a year is nearly as baffling as the geniuses who thought a 450-horsepower all-aluminum pushrod V8 powering a Berkeley jet pump-pushing a very conspicuously-looking WaveBlaster on a custom Daytona-style hull was a good idea.

Wow - a few comments:
Looks: I can't tell if its fugly or has potential to be one sick machine. The jury is still out for me but I'm sure a few more man-hours of paint and body will complete the exterior package.
Sounds: As Tony the Tiger would say - "GGGRRRRREEEEAAAAAATTTT!
Performance: Obviously some more engineering is required. I'd like to see the bugs worked out and what that thing can really do on glass. On this particular note, I know the a certain 14 yr. old kid down in Berwick, LA that can probably troubleshoot the ride aspects...
Safety: Where's the lanyard/kill switch? At the end of vid 3, wasnt' that motor still running after the buck-off?
Thanks for the article/vids, Kevin.

Yeah, it's not exactly "dialed in," but c'mon guys! You GM dudes (*cough* *cough* Jerry *cough*) KNOW how much power there is in the LS-platform. This thing - once they figure out the nose-plowing and trim issues (among other things) could have a 130-plus-mph monster on their hands.
