Free Flow Exhaust
Tried doing a search but didn't come up with much. Has anyone been running a free flow for a long period of time? Just curious if it made any changes in running or rpm in a stock ski? I don't really care if it does, I just want the little louder and throatier sound. Not talking about the thru-hull setup, just the pipe that deletes the resonator box. I'm running a 08' RXT but anyone is welcome to chime in as it doesn't really matter the model.

I am ... it's loud ... drone sound at 3000 - 3500 rpm... No change in rpm.

Stock exhaust on an 04 RXP with the resonator removed and it had a horrible drone at 3000 to 3500 rpm. The stock outlet in the pump tunnel creates the drone with the resonator removed. I bought the ski like this so I did not have the resonator to put back in I got a used RIVA rear exhaust kit and it sounds a little throatier than stock without the teeth rattling drone.
From my experience I would not remove the resonator with the factory outlet, full rear exhaust or leave it stock unless you like teeth rattling drone.

For a $15 piece of aluminum tubing, I'm willing to risk a little (possibly a lot of) drone for a louder exhaust. If it's too loud, it was only $15.

Fine at idle, fine 4k and above, in between drones and is annoying.

I might just do it... If it's fine above 4k, I ride mostly around 5500. I already have the $10 pipe from Midas, it doesn't have a mandrel bend, just a normal bend but still way less restrictive than the resonator. Who knows, that may make it sound slighty different as well.

I don't like the way the 2 1/2 fits in the exhaust hose once you remove the resonator. Kinda reminded me of the hot dog down a hallway term... Haha!! 2 3/4 would be the ticket!
