are gp800 and gp800R parts interchangeable???
newbie question...are most parts for the older gp800 and the newer gp800R interchangeable? I would ASSUME that all major engine parts are. is that correct? The bodies are different but are the pumps interchangeable? like the bearings and impellers and all that? oil pump the same? power valves the same? exhaust the same? carbs the same?? just trying to figure out what can be interchanged and what can not. I have heard that the ONLY difference is the hull or body and I want to make sure this is true. I want the older gp800 and want to make sure that I can take advantage of the fact that they made the gp800R for another 4 years after they stopped the gp800 in 2000.
