Finally taking the plunge, need advice.

Hey guys, my family has finally decided to buy a new jet ski. Well, ive convinced them sea doo is the way to go having ridden many rxp's and rxt's myself

The parents want a 3 seater, so we are going with the rxt. I jsut have a few questions:

What could we expect to pay for an 04 or 05 one? (if they are even made in 04..)

Can you do all regular maintenence yourself?

What is the speed on an rxt stock?

Thanks, im sure i'll think of more questions during the day.

    Cyclone:

You should be able to pick one up for (04) in the $5-7k range.

More this time of year, less in late fall etc..........

    Regular maintenance is very simple

    Oil changes = very easy
wear ring = very easy (especially after you learn how to pull your pump off, about 10 mins)
    pump grease = very easy

That is really about it, especially if you ride fresh water.

Salt water guys need to flush after each use, spray down the throttle body with bombi lube = very easy.

Stock speed for the RXT is in the 63-66 range, depending on wear ring, prop, etc.........
