    Coil wire replacement

I am replacing my coil wires, with new 7mm wire. Should I place a small amount of glue on the rubber cap that holds the wire in place?

I seal the ends with liquid electrical tape. Keeps the water out and provides a bit of adhesiveness to the assembly. They are glued from the factory, so it wouldn't hurt to put a it of glue in there if you don't want to go the liquid tape route.....
