Thread: Engine faliure...

Well... maybe it wasn't a good idea to put a racing cam and 14 psi supercharger on a 174 hr. engine
Not yet sure exactly what came apart but it's in the aft cylinder. I can't even break the sparkplug loose... probably mushroomed by the piston
I'll post more when I get it apart.
Luckily, (if you want to call it that) I had bought a spare engine recently and it should be here soon. Just didn't think I would be putting it into service so soon
BTW... unbelievable acceleration and 75+mph @ 8350. Wish I could of fine tuned the impeller before it blew.

That sucks. I hope you are able to use most of the engine still.

Jeff what mods with the B-kit/Rude?
Sorry to here this happened to you.

Rude SC, fuel controller, 50lb injectors, Riva valvetrain upgrade, XS IC, RR ECU, 4" intake, etc. etc.
I'm being optimistic and hoping it was just fatigue... rather than an error installing something
