I took the ski out last Saturday and did some scouting along the south shoreline of West Galveston Bay. Dad and I loaded up with our gear, put on our waders and headed out. No bait was to be seen and no birds were working (bad). Winds were nonexistent and the water clarity was 4' (even worse). After spending most of the morning trying to locate some fish I found a nice drop off to work some lures. We were standing in knee deep water casting into a deep hole. Dad successfully landed a nice flounder and lost another at the net. He also had a sheepshead follow his lure up into the shallows but wouldn't commit on biting. I caught a small flounder and released him.

All in all it was a beautiful day out on the water. Next time hopefully I'll boat some reds and trout....
