    08+ water box question

    I haven't got a spare 2010 water box to compare with ...

Is it me or dose it look like the heat deflector has moved and wedged it self ?

The rear wall is a double baffle, with semi-holes...

The old waterbox had the exhaust shooting down onto a deflection baffle, used to take the brunt of exhaust in the event that water is not present...

On the new style boxes, they put a second, curved deflection cap that points in the opposite direction. It is raised to make the new deflection baffle, and has semi-holes on it to provide water the ability to go around and cool both sides....preventing blowout.

Here is a pic when I did the first trial of gutting back in 2008...

Danny ur the man , yeah this one has broken loose and wedged its self under the return ...

This explains the loss of revs now and then ...

Looking at your pic now, and what you said is wrong, I can see the baffle is laying on its side....Looks like its time to GUT THE THING!...If its not already ....You might be able to get away with pulling the one side and wiggling it out...
