Is this after a long idle back to the dock?

Normally the plug tips should not look that black, which suggests yours is running rich or you are doing a lot of idling.

Not much idling , mainly towing skiers and kneeboards

Check the exhaust temp sensor and the air temp sensor.

Perhaps there is a failed sensor or a broken wire, or bad electrical connection.

Air temp sensor is on the bottom side of the flame arrestor base.

Without the towing, are you seeing full RPM on the water at full throttle?

Apparently the EMM was on the verge of failing, as it has now done so.

Shorted driver chip for the MAG fuel injector overloaded the White/Red injector power bus and shut the engine down

Engine now runs only when the MAG fuel injector is unplugged, but of course then it is only running on the PTO cylinder. Single cylinder fuel injected watercraft
