    2009 Yamaha FXSHO Upgrades Questions

    Hello, Greenhulk Members

I have 2009 Yamaha FXSHO with 130hrs on it with NO problems at all! It runs strong and great! I am planing on do a few upgrades on my ski! Here's my plan

RIVA Intake Manifold Upgrade Kit for Supercharged Skis

Riva free flow exhaust for SHO/FZ

RIVA Yamaha 1.8L Engine Breather Upgrade Kit for 2011 and older

Are those 3 things should be done first? Are they worth it? I wanna do cheap upgrades to improve my ski to run better and a little faster! What do you guys think? Other opinions? Thanks

Another option is to pitch the impeller.
There are some DIY threads on here about impeller pitching.
I've seen as much as 4mph increase and gains in overall pull..

If you have not done so and R&D intake grate for safety.

He has the fxsho not an fz. Is the over stuffing an issue on the FX? I never experienced it BUT the R&d intake grate makes a huge difference to hook up IMHO. The difference on my ski was chalk and cheese. Btw if you do the intake grate do the pump seal kit at the same time

The FX model is not common to overstuff, however i also recommend you the R&D grate with seal kit. The ski rides so much better with it. And if your also want to get some xtra speed and nice ride. Send your stock plate to JIM'S, he will do his magic and trust me that plate rides good, 3 years with no complain.

Not as common as with the FZ....but his has happened before to several down here. There are actually some mechanics down here that will not test a modded FZ or SHO without that upgrade because of their previous experiences.
