    ultra 250 vs 260

Hey guys ,i'm pretty new here and have a question for you all. I'm looking to buy a kawi sc ski and have 2 choices near my house ,a 2008 250 with 75 hours or a 2009 260 with 69 hours , price is close both of them . I just want to know, beside the year and the horsepower, why should i buy the 09 instead of the 08. Are the 09 more reliable than the 08 or , are they pretty much the same ? Thanks everyone !

07 was Kawasaki's first sc model.
They improved the ski every year.
So figure out your budget, then get the newest model you can.
Ask the questions that blue 182 posted in your other thread.
    Then go ahead and enjoy.
P.S. if you are only interested speed. The 250 with mods allways beat the 260 with mods.

I'm gonna use it to power my flyboard, when i ride , i ride a 07 Yamaha superjet stand-up !
I've decided not to go with the 09 because it has very deep gashes on the hull. that thing has been beached on rock beds one too many times and the prop is full of chips as well !

    Good choice.
I was gonna tell you to pick a ski that is cleaner and better taken care of since 250 & 260 are pretty much the same with minimal changes/improvements.
Just make sure you check following things (in addition to other usual stuff) when you do your inspection.
    1. Spark plugs - remove all 4 and make sure they come out easily and plugs look ok. Plugs tell you a lot.
    2. Supercharger - make sure it makes a full boost. Not sure if you can test ride to check that.
    3. Check engine oil for metal debris. Open the fill cap and you will see a small square shaped pocket. That's where metal debris ususally end up if there is an internal engine damage such as crank being pushed forward.

After you buy the ski, the very first and MOST important thing you MUST do is to upgrade the jet pump bearing setup to that of the 300X jet pump if not done so yet by the previous owner. You can do it for less than $100 and it will save you $5000+ later.

    Good luck!

If you are dealing with the original owner you can always ask him if he did the Pump Bearing upgrade (ask to see receipt or confirm with the Dealer that it was done). JB

These flyboards look like fun! How hard is it to learn? Is there a minimum size motor and horsepower required? Are you sure you need a supercharged motor? I think this is first time use of Ultra to power a flyboard has come up!

I was wondering why a modded 250 is faster than a modded 260?
