    Running rough as

    Hey Guys,

I have had my 04 XP for a few years and it has been so reliable (until today). I run it on the hose every 3 weeks during winter to keep everything lubricated, made sure the battery was fully charged last night, toped up the tank with fresh fuel, test fired it this morning no problem, got out to the water and it starts fine but runs like crap. Won't get to more than half it's normal speed, doesn't even take off normally, sort of splutters (wrong word) cuts in and out a bit like a limiter would do (sorry hard to explain)??? My first thought was perhaps some old fuel or crap in the line and persisted thinking it might clear but not to be.

Any ideas of where I should start, plugs, fuel filter, injector cleaner???

    Thanks

Are you getting a maint light?

No, instrument panel working as normal with no special lights messages or buzzers.

    Update,

So I pulled the plugs this morning and they looked fouled and both had moisture/water droplets on them. Reading other posts on this site it could be a multitude of things from manifolds to water in the fuel to perhaps just a bit of condensation over winter (as this was the first proper run this summer). So will put a new set in and see if it fixes the problem.

Would appreciate any advice if anyone else has had the same issue.

    Thanks, Michael

The manifold oring is a common problem where the housing around it breaks away due to insufficient material there and leaks and then draws water into the cylinder when its scavenging and the pulse wave comes back into the cylinder
