    A few questions about 300x

I'm thinking about getting one 1)Is it necessary to fog the SC after every ride if so why and how much of a PIA. 2)change the oil every 25hrs why so often. 3)determining a 2013.5 I'm told square catch can and vin is it possible to see the can and where in the vin would be the clue to a late build?thanks to everyone

    1) fog it for 10 sec. 2) I put full synthetic and only have to change every 50 hrs

Yep, I fog the charger when I blow the last bit of water out of the waterbox. I doesn't take any extra time.

Depends how you ride, I would still change the oil every 25 hours. Maybe an overkill but I do it about every 15 hours. I use an electric oil extractor off eBay and it's done it 10 minutes. I change my filter every 50 hours.

It's worth it if you want the performance of the 300x. It's a machine!

if you want the best performance production ski on the planet go 300/310x, if not, go another brand.

the dealer did. Hasn't broke yet... The main concern with oil is that it ain't low

No it won't. I have finally gotten them to give me a good internet connection here on the boat. I am on nights doing nothing for 12 hours a day. Needless to say, Sean has the days and I have the nights.

Kaiser, are you riding fresh or salt water? Fogging every ride- Salt yes, Fresh no. There is a port that is right there when you remove the seat. The biggest PIA of fogging is making sure you don't loose the rubber cap for the fogging port. Kawasaki made it very easy.

Oil Changes- Why so often? Why Not? Protecting your investment. I don't go by hours. I go by as soon as the oil discolors I change it. You do not change the filter every oil change. While most, including myself runs synthetic, that is not required so you can save the money and not feelbad about changing the oil so often. Just use approved oil as per the manual. Very easy to change tilt the craft down on the bow and suck it out then refill. What I do is while this is being removed, take this time to inspect your plugs and reapply anti-sieze

To know what model you are getting- Triangle catch can and the pin for EX filter. If you have both it is for sure the late model 2013. The HIN is located on the starboard side of the aft deck. You will see it places in the gap of the Hydro Turf.
