2012 vs. 2013 vs. 2014 Ultra LX changes?

Anyone know if there were any changes (other than color/styling) between these years on the Ultra LX (the NA 160 hp 1500cc)? Talking design/spec changes and quality improvements that would improve reliability.

2012 (red and black) was the first year the Ultra went to the deeper hull...

No need for reliability improvements. This engine has bees around for many years and is among the nose reliable in the industry.
The only changes to the hull came between 12-13. They use the same hull as the SC models. They continued using the older hull when the 300 came out to finish using the remaining tick of that hull. They are now using the 300 hull but that is the only changes since 2007.
IMO while not the fastest NA pwc it is the perfect craft. For what you use a ski for this is a no brainier decision. The Ultra LX is the best choice. This I the craft I would have and will have when I no longer race.

Mid 50s. What you sacrifice in speed you make up for in comfort, storage, fuel capacity, and range. Not to mention its reliability. This is a gas and go craft.

How about the handling. I know it's the same hull but with the power shortage as opposed to the s/c model how is it with coming in and out of corners , in the chop and ocean and just pulling from wave to wave?

The biggest change/improvement is the DOUBLE front bearing setup since 2010 model on the LX.
Then 2011 model have a anti-forward nut on the back of the impeller shaft (just like on 300X). You can easily upgrade to the 2011+ spec for less than $100 even if you get a 2007-2009 LX.

I can take care of this for you, if you do get an older model, for a very fair "price." You can ask Billy my rates on his Sea Doos. You have a Kawi my rates go way down. Haha.

Hmmm, so the 2007-2012's have the previous hull and 2013-14 have the latest/300 hull? Information I saw on a dealer video stated the 12 was the first of the new hull...but not surprised that a sales guy was wrong. Is that a big enough difference that I should avoid a 2012?

The molds are the same, the hull is the same shape, there are just small internal changes/ New bracket mounts.
