    2012 rxt x sponsons

Has anyone played around with the sponsons on there ski.
I have a 2012 rxtx and have never moved them from the standard position (sport)
How does it affect the handling of the ski? which position is best for top speed?
any info will help as I don't want to play around with them without knowing how much it will affect the ski and get out of shape at 85mph

For top speed... All the way up... All the way down would be aggressive (cornering) they give more drag in the water... So all the way up will give the best top speed

The sponsons will not effect top speed. They are almost 4-6 inches out of the water at high speed. I actually have a video of this somewhere.

You are right, they will not affect top speed ... they will affect how aggressive they are in the water... I taught they will add some "drag" when all the way down, so it will reduce top speed ...
