2008 RXT-X weight savings over the std RXT

the X weighs 818 and the std RXT weighs 869. That's a pretty massive difference considering the X has VTS, ext IC and a heavier steering assembly.

Where the hell does the weight savings come from in these?

The hull is thinner.....and its why the pump tunnel needs reinforcement.

I really never liked the exposed shredded glass anyway. I'd like to sand it smooth and hit it with a nice light grey epoxy paint. That will be a project for when I destroy the engine.

Yes I plan on eventually destroying the engine.

Any chance a S3 bottom will ribbit up to my 05 top?

I would find an X hull and swap everything over before I tried to sand 100lbs of glass...

lol I'm not sanding off 100lbs. I've already dropped as much weight as I can except for going open loop which should be good for a whopping 3 or 4lbs. I always keep my eye out for local hulls. To this day not one has come up that I can find

WOT is 50% of my ride unless the gf is on the back. Unfortunately I've exceeded the limits of the RXT pump shoe and grate
