All Polaris intake grates are interchangeable except the ones for the Octane and Genesis. The SLT/SLTX Ocean Pro plates are kind of hard to find used. I believe they are still available new through Ocean Pro.

You can find used RD intake grates on Ebay or stock ones don't waste money on a new one.

So those of us who buy new parts instead of trying to beat someone up on the price of a used part are not smart? If you are lucky to find one, you may get a used OP plate for 50 bucks less than new. The problem is that once people get those plates they tend not to sell them.

Why are you changing the impeller? If your original is in good condition there really is no benefit to replacing it.

I wouldn't. Although there are many designs available, the R&D Polaris 650 grate has been proven to be the choice of almost everybody in the know.
