NEED HELP URGENT : 04 GP1300r Stalling on wake

    Hi guys ,
I purchased a 04 GP1300r with a fresh rebuild and the ski has been running great for 10hrs however now the ski cutting out every time it hits wake at any RPM :S . It will start back up straight away , in flat water ski running perfect.

    So far:
I have checked the earth connection and added a 2nd earth
Bypassed the slant dectection sensor with a 4k7 ohm resistor
cleaned and sealed all plugs with connector grease/ gel
Disconnected the Engine stop 2 pin plug and ran the ski so disabling engine stop
ski still have 120 psi compression

Check engine light has been coming on accassionally with code15 engine temp sensor malfunction
and water temp sensor had come on few times before ski started cutting out in wake

Could it be a bad battery as it was almost completely dry before i toped it back up with demineralised water
ski charges fine and ski always starts fine?
    Faulty ECU ?
Ignition back at back off ski ??

    any info would be great

Only mods ski has is dplate and chip and free flow

    cheers Charles

sounds like a slant detection switch might be going bad.

+1 was it a new slant detection switch you put in or used?

I removed the slant detection completely and put a 4700ohm resistor in place so it is bypassed

I'd have a look at the emm connector since you are getting what I assume are bogus codes and good running on smooth water

You might as well check for any stray a/c voltage at the battery in case the regulator is splooshing the electrics

Emm ? Do u mean the ecu ? And do I check the battery when running with the multi meter set to ac voltage ?

yes on both counts. what you are looking for is something that when shaken and not stirred sends a shut down signal to the ignition, like your stator rattling off the flywheel for example...
check the wiring carefully..could have a rub thru. These problems require careful tests and examinations, unless it's a "oh wow" moment ( like a corroded connector on the ecu or high a/c reading on the battery)
