Great day on the water in January???

While millions back east are bearing down for Polar Vortex 2, I took my Ultra LX out on the water yesterday and had a great day. I've basically reached the end of the 5 hour break-in period so it was time for some all out fun. I got her up to 57 mph (with 2 passengers, BTW) and had a blast. I'm definitely getting a better feel for the handling of this ski too and had lots of fun doing some tight turns, slides, donuts, etc. Of course, I was also on the hunt for some wakes to cross, naturally, and that hunt did not disappoint. All in all, a great January outing. God, I love living in San Diego....best climate in the contiguous United States!

Next time, it'll be time to break-in our tube!

    Nice!

My favorite all time place to JetSki is Dana Point.

    Ever been there?

California is more expensive than many other places in the US but San Diego is somewhat more affordable than other places in this state (i.e. Los Angeles, SF Bay Area, etc). Having lived in NJ, NY and AZ, I firmly believe that the higher cost of living is more than worthwhile here in California.

Oh yeah, I've been there! Beautiful place...love Orange County. Laguna Beach is one of my favorite parts of the OC but Dana is awesome too....love Southern California!

While I live in San Diego, I travel frequently for work (I'm a Field Service Engineer). About 20% of my customer visits take me up to either Ventura County, Los Angeles County or Orange County. I don't wind up jet skiing in those areas but I do get to enjoy the sights, entertainment, food, etc.

We ride out of Dana pretty regular. It is a great place to run out of.
I agree 100% dreamwave6. The cost of living is higher but wages and quality of life, (options folks, for us whom like to do things) far exceeds most places.
The last time I rode was 2 weeks ago, out of Dana by the way. We rode DP to O'Side & back.
Folks out here have been riding every weekend. I have had to work the last couple but not this Saturday. I will go riding.
You can ride ocean, snow ski, and ATV ride all in one day here.
Oh and go do a million other things.
