    Metal in oil

The shaft broke on my supercharger. It sheared the impeller. Could the metal from the impeller get in the oil. Doesn't seem it could as it would go into the intake manifold not the oil.

Looking at at an engine tear down if not.

Waverunner is sitting at Riva. They see metal in oil.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

if the shaft broke in the impellor area it should have just fucked the housing and sent shit into the intercooler

Broke shaft at the back is metal in the oil. Broke at the front is shavings in the intake manifold and nothing can be done. Metal in the oil will get to the flywheel, this will cause a no charge condition and ruin the stator winding. Rear broke shaft. needs the motor pulled and cleaned out. It is possible that front shaft broke could cause metal in oil, a close look at the drive gears should revel this
