    D plate install question

I was reveiwing my service manual, and it says not to reuse the 2 gaskets that surround the catalatic convertor. do you guys buy new gaskets when you put a D plate in? i assume you don't leave them out, but i don't ever remember having to get new gaskets when you do a D plate install.

    thanks for any help.

I used the old ones and have had no problems at all.

You can reuse them as long as you don't damage them taking the cat out. Spray the gaskets on each side with a good copper high temp seal before re-installing and you should be good to go.
