    Performance Increase???

    Guys

If I retune my 2013 RXPX 260 RS with a VTech tune, taking the revs up to 8650 and adding valve retainers, what changes in performance can I expect, compared to a standard RXPX 260 RS.

Everything else is standard other than the above.

Current max speed as per onboard speedo and GPS, will touch 70 on dead flat, long run, head down, max trim up.

    Many thanks

Get a 4"air intake, reflash, valve train and drill that intake manifold and please o2 sensor in exhaust manifold... Add a 15/20r also...

EDIT: You'll probably need bigger injector also... V-Tech 1100cc Injectors maybe ... I run only 8375 so...

Lots of info, I have read that article, but it doesn't answer the question, I do not intend (or desire) to do any other mods, I want to just the up the revs and add valve retainers.

retainers alone my not be enough for 8500+
with out bigger springs you could float a valve
more rpms =more boost and speed

    WELCOME to the HULK ukrxpx260
us boost addicts know that upping the rpms is just the start....lol

Not sure what a reflash, retainers and spring will do ... I think you'll need more air in that charger ... With the reflash you'll need to monitor AFR closely... You will probably need a fuel pressure regulator (stock is not good)

That motor will still breath pretty well with stock air intake and exhaust. If you want that stock look and quiet exhaust go with the reflash but maybe spend a little more and do the full valve train upgrade just so your safe. Check your afr and if it's good you won't need a fuel regulator. You won't be disappointed!
