2012 seadoo gti gps/iPhone mounting solutions.

I have searched and read the internet twice trying to find a way to mount my iPhone securely to my 2012 GTI SE.
It will be my second season with this seadoo and I would like to do more touring around the lakes here in Canada. I don't see the need to buy a new gps or chart plotter as the Navionics apps has been doing the job well.
Can anyone suggest a product or solution on how I can mount my gps?

    Where in Canada?

Have you looked at the RAM mounts and perhaps something from ProClipUSA

It is a two part problem. Securely mounting the iPhone and then keeping it waterproof.

I can say from experience that handlebar mounts are not suitable on a watercraft. Even if you could get it to stop shaking the video veers left and right with every twitch of the steering.

The best mounting will attach to a solid part of the hull. On many watercraft even the hood shimmies and shakes too much.

If you can find a spot where an existing bolt or three can be used to also hold the mount, that will be solid and no extra holes drilled into the hull.

Mounting on the Handle bars would not work. There is no room to attach anything with the ibr and control button. I was thinking a u-bolt through a rope cleat below the handle bar.

My concern with that is if the u-bolt isn't snug it may allow it to flop around.

As for waterproofing, I use a lifeproof case anytime I'm near the water.

I use a ram mount on my Gti -13

Used a handlebar mount, worked like a charm
