    FX SVHO Cruiser mods

    Jerry,
I am wondering if the reflash ecu mods your doing to your SVHO FZR will be just as effective on the FX SVHO cruiser model? Do you think there will much top speed difference between the two? I noticed that the FZS has a new ride plate that is different from the 2013 model. It seems that the FX has the same ride plate as last years model. Also wondering about what cooling mods will have to be done to the FX to keep it cool with the ecu reflash. Any feedback that you can tell us will be much appreciated.

    Carl

Hi Carl, power output will be the same on FX and FZ SVHO models.
Typically the FX hull is a couple of mph slower than a FZ hull so don't expect the same speeds out of both skis.

With the reflash we have found that the stock intercooler and stock engine cooling is not up to the task so therefore look forward to installing an engine cooling upgrade kit

And upgrading the intercooler to one of the many that are available to us

    Jerry,
Thank you very much for your reply.. I figured that the FX would be a little slower all things being equal. Wondering how difficult it is to install the cooling kit and a different intercooler? Have not worked on any fourstrokes before so not sure what is involved.

These are both easy "do it yourself" modifications

    Jerry,
Thank you again for the quick reply and the links. Going to order a new FX SVHO this week. Looks like I'll be a customer of yours soon. Is taking out the ecu just a matter of unbolting and unplugging to send it off to be reprogrammed?. Looking under the seats of the skis at a boat show and you can't see much.

Sounds great Carl, you will love this ski.

The ECU is very easy to remove and send off. Only three connectors and four 10mm bolts holding it in place.
