    FZS performance

Hi all, I just purchased a 2010 FZS ski today, it has a couple mods on it that I can see, Riva ride plate, Riva intake grate, Riva exhaust and the Riva intake pipe.
My top speed is 68mph, is that normal? Isnt that the top speed bone stock?
Iv had a quick read on here and people with similar mods hitting the 70s.
Just wondering if there is anything I could check if the speed im seeing isn't right.
Speed is a GPS reading also.

The grate will slow you down, also the plate is less to be desired for. Maybe the ribbon mod was NOT done

^^^^ agree with knackers, re pitch but... You'll do that then want to go faster, I'd go all out get the ECU reflash then re pitch to suit

The ribbon mod you talk about, is that the one in the intake? am i able to do that with the intake on? so the re flash is well worth it? im planning to run turbo later on, is the ecu able to be flashed to suit that or should i just put my money into a aftermarket ecu from the start?

the rpms are around 7k, that's not accurate though just a rough figure, next time im out il get exact rpms.
also I noticed a rattling sound coming from the supercharger, is that normal? or is that a indication the clutch is on its way out?
the impeller feels ok and locks up good when I turn it by hand.

They all rattle some or at least the ones ive heard
Get a re flash and unlock the skis full power, you really are flogging a dead horse with mods until this is done, boost limiter will hold you back period

cool thanks, is the ecu able to be reflashed to the settings I want/mods I have? or am I restricted still and better of to go with aftermarket ecu? and does removing the intake ribbon really give you that much gain?

an aftermarket ECU is worth it as far as future mods
but a cheep option is to go reflash
you can always sell that later
with the stock ecu the top speed is limited once you add mods so depending on how slow your hull setup is will determin your top speed
