    "Check Engine" 7000+ rpm

    Hi All

I have a 2010 RXTX, every time I hit 7000 rpm I get a single beep, engine light comes on and "check engine" message on the dash. As soon as I drop the rpm's under 7000rpm no engine light or message. Motor runs perfect, no limp mode, no fault code logged on dash.

    Has anyone got any suggestion?

    Cheers Biged

    Cool

Are you sure your dess key is on tight?? I've seen the single beep at high rpms because the key was not on tight. It vibrates at the higher rpms and caused the beep.
Any codes showing up other than check engine??

Is the ski standard or modded?

You need to read the faults and see what's stored as occurred... Dash only shows active faults....

Thanks for your replies, the lanyard is on tight, and the ski is stock. I'll have to see what faults, have been stored.

Seadoo have just revised the IAT sensor on 2012-2013 4tecs. Maybe look into that.

Sounds like the same problem i was having and it was an exhaust overheat code, you might have some corrosion in the exhaust causing a restriction of water flow, check out this thread here http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=210051
