    80mph 2012 RXPX260 - looking for impeller advice

I'm running a Riva SRZ-15/20R I seem be hanging out on the rev limiter about 8900rpm with 79-81 indicated on the dash with a full tank. I've a got a few parts still to add lucky cone and Jim's ride plate mod. I've been holding off on those mods till I can get a pressure sensor on the tunnel. Should I just have the 15/20R tweaked or pick up another impeller?

As I rarely get as flat water as I did today, it's also worth mentioning I felt very minor pump unhooks. Not sure if those are signs of possible stuffing?

Leave the prop alone..... just raise the rev limit

Is 80 mph your best speed @ 8900 rpm with a MoTec and full stage 4???

Turn that Bi--h 9100 and feel what the 4tec can really do. Mine ran very well at 9180 at 83.

Yes Riva Stage 4 exactly + Motec. I've seen a few 81-81.5mph in my motec logs a few times (83 dash). All my runs are in salt water.

I only have Riva spring kit...am I ok to go to 9100rpm? Seems like there is more speed in it if I get off the limiter.

Also I don't have my ride plate holes filled. Not that I plan on being on that ride plate for much longer.

Yah...I'm not crazy about going higher that 8900 honestly...except maybe for just a few runs . It was so nice to get out tonight...been almost 2 months without riding. The ICW was like glass. By the way I finally got the TX260 all back together...coils still work It was running 71(on dash) at 8380rpm. Stock prop and 80hrs on wear ring!

If your in the rough salt all the time, there is no reason to crank up the rpm's...... or put a high angle plate on it for that matter. You'll never see the benefits from either.

Just add a tad of pitch to the prop then, as I do agree with above. Although it is a monster at 9100.

That's what I'm going to do...thx Water4Fire. By a stroke of luck, I might be coming into a very nice lightly used fully built head...9100 might be in my wheel house soon.Let you know how it works out.
