Are these good results? should I be getting better?

    Hi all,
I just got my SC done by Jerry, did a ride this past weekend and my top speed was 64 turning 7400 some 7450 here and there, never saw higher that that, so I am missing 200 rpms, not sure what to look for, could this be a result of the 12/20R impeller I just changed it with the wear ring last month but left it as is comes, not tweaked.

Next step will be IC, and Pump Wedge, then maybe ecu flashed? is it even possible on a 185?

Current mods below, let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks in advance.

You are down 200ish RPM, your untouched prop is the most likely culprit...

Before you touch the prop, I suggest you gut that OEM waterbox. That alone will give you your missing RPM without having to touch the prop, along with a little more top end...

It would be louder, but since you are already running the rear exit, it would not be that much.....And its practically FREE HP....

I would tweak the prop a bit.. I never got full rpms with my 185 and a 12/20 prop out of the box. And I wouldn't get too crazy with mods on the 185hp. It doesn't have the same pistons as the 215. 64 mph is pretty good speed. If you tweak the prop, you could get maybe 1-2 mph extra with your current setup

IMPROS, they do an excellent job. They can re-pitch & true your prop. Good Luck

Look at my signature 05 GTX for ideas and numbers. Erik at www.Speedfreeksracing.com does a great job on impellers.
