Heres what i think... This would be an extremely cool ski if this turns out. This seems like a far stretch, though. I don't think they will put this in a factory ski. If they did, there would be restrictions and limiters on it. And warranty would be a hassle for BRP. This couldn't be very reliable. Somebody may build a badass conversion with this engine, but I don't see a stock 400+ hp doo coming in the 2015 lineup.

Point of the article was you can basically create a lot of HP out of 3 cylinder and thinking you must have four to be current isn't necessary.
I think Seadoo will just tweak the existing engine moving forward(short time). A little larger supercharger and little work on the top end of the motor and you have a solid 300HP motor with very little money in R&D.

I hope doo decides to tweek there performance line up in 2015...
We need something to compete with the new kaw 310 and yamaha svho.
That new yamaha has got me thinking about switching over to the dark side....

I can't see them going from 260 to 400hp but maybe like 315...just enough for bragging rights. I'd be shocked if they don't do something for the big ski's next year. Lots of guys I suspect holding onto their older ski's waiting for something new and exciting. I have no incentive to replace either of my ski's. Coming up on 4yrs old on my TX260 and 2yrs old my PX260.

Built right, the OEM 3cyl is capable of big power. Even 400hp on a rec riding ski. Biggest issue is the drive line. I would love to press a few buttons on my eboost2 but been there, broke that. 400hp is a safe limit for stock driveline

400hp at 7500 rpm! and only 88lbs Nice!
It would take a monster prop to hold that motor back!
