    VXR Holeshot machine

I would like to hear everyone's suggestions on what parts combo you would go with if the goal was to just make a brutal holeshot ski out of a VXR? Say if I didn't care to ever break past low 60's but get there in a hurry and stick to the water in the chop like glue.... Prop, intake grate and removing the RP shims was kind of what I was thinking of starting with...

I am wanting to get some parts for next season and a prop is one of them.. I really don't care if I hit 70 cause the water is just not nice enough to go that fast 90% of the time where I ride... I can get some smooth water in if I wake up early enough, but that just doesn't happen much these days

So far I just have intake and exhaust mods

Probably bore your exit nozzle bigger than 87mm add the l13 cone and find the fastest hole shot prop with a Riva SS grate

If ur not looking for speed the ss grate will give u big gulps of water quick. Ribbon delete and good air intake mod so u can increase rpms to drink that water ....as for prop ????def a skat but u might have to borrow one to figure out which way to go....for starters.....

You will have to at least get an ECU tune.

Ill see if I can get a hold of a rideplate, I have some ideas I want to test on the vxr hull.

Bore the nozzle like mentioned and prop it up to keep the rpms in the right place. That keeps you in the right "load" range on the motor but shifts where the water is being used.

Probably the best advise I could give you is if they have closed course racing near you go to them and see if they are racing some VXRs. If there is make friends with them. That is all about hole shot, staying hooked upand handling. I saw quite a few that were running with some supercharged skis.

Boring the Nozzle ehh? I have not heard of this mod... How do you do it?

I would like to get a tune but damn they are pricey... I wish you could just buy a tuner with some canned tunes like I do for my trucks. What would be a good Skat prop to go with? I think Jarrett had one that really woke up one of his VXs out of the hole

No CC Racing around these parts except for the finals in Havasu ... which is after the next season

You may want to look at a setback prop too. With the nozzle you just enlarge it. The cheap way would be just hitting it with a flap wheel.

Get with Ricky Bobby and ask him he will tell you straight up what he did in cc.
