Photos of the foam section removal?

Just want to be clear where you cut the foam and how big the section that came out is.

It looks pretty clear in the first pic. Just behind the front of the fuel tank. Pretty slick idea. Stick the foam back in with some silicone when you are done and it should be all good.

For whatever reason the photos were not visible to me when I first read the post.

Useful tip for removing the MSX fuel sender, fuel pump unit.

    Hey,

New to this forum. I am trying to get the stator/flywheel out and decided to move the gas tank forward so I have more room. I tried to follow this but I can't lift the tank up high enough without hitting part of the steering column (bracket holding cable) to even make it out of the hole towards the styrofoam. Am I missing something? I'm just tempted to move the steering column... Any tips would be appreciated! It is a MSX 140 and I already removed the oil tank.

I pull the tank forward how described above but I remove the steering bracket before I attempt this. I don't know if anyone has done it with the bracket still attached... maybe if the tank was 100% empty and you could really maneuver it... again not sure.

This is a really old thread. I suggest starting a new one. You may get more answers and pics.
