Need help finding a part; Shut-off valve for Visibility Spout hose
Okay, so it seems that everybody we ride with complains about the "gay spray." So the wife found a neat little ball valve that was the right size to just screw onto the bottom of the spray nozzle. Alas, we thought the nipple would be part of the plastic nut that holds the nozzle on instead of being a part of the nozzle. So it didn't work--the nipple will not fit through the valve/fitting.
So then we went to Home Depot and all they have is female-ended ball valves. So then we start looking online and can find "fuel shut off valves" that have the nipple on both ends that would work perfectly! Alas (again) they all seem to be 1/4 inch.
Anybody know of a for sure part number or product description to a ball valve that will work?

all you have to do is disconnect the hose under the deck. If you are just wanting a valve I assume you want to be able to open the valve to have your spray at times. All you will have to do is hook it back up.

My bet is most people that go to all the trouble to put a valve on this feature so they can turn it on at a later time, never actually do that (wait up guys, I need to turn on my pisser!!). I disconnected mine, JB-welded the pump hole shut, gave away the s-hose, removed the plastic hull spout and turfed over it. Bye bye, never think of it anymore.

Well, the replies are running 100% in that direction so far! I'll run it by the wife and see if that would be acceptable to her. She's the boss don't you know.

Bryan all I did was go to Ace hardware and buy a .40 black rubber stopper & wedged it in there, re-attach the hose & clamp. Most people that install valves cut a section out of the hose. If I think I will need the spray again, its a 3 min. job to loosen the clamp & pull the stopper out.

Some people like having that spray because it let's other boats know where they are at. I'm personally not a fan. Before I'll even start a brand new ski' I'll go to the back and cut that damn hose.
Buuuuuut, since the Admiral says she wants it one way...I wouldn't even give her a reason to bitch for one second, and do it EXACTLY as she wants you too. Hell, Id take a photo of the modification and frame for her! Id at least be glad shell at least let you have the option to turn it off, that's a win in my book.

There comes a time in a mans life .... "when hes got to do what hes got to do", Ha Ha ..... my wife has no interest what so ever in my skis .... she only bitches about what I spend on them. After 40 years of marriage I kind of like that way ..... I just do as I dam well please .... (of course I just don't tell her about it). Ha Ha By the way I just JB Weld the spray & never thought twice. Good Luck
