    Question about intake grate

I ordered a brand new [email protected] intake grate for my 2012 RXPX and it showed up with slight minor damage. I didn't even open it from the package but what do you guys think about the grate? It looks like it could have been dropped at some point but the shipping box was great so it wasn't damaged by UPS.

Do you think the minor damage could cause any performance loss? Or should I not even worry about it and just install and not look back?... Thanks for any input-

I'd send it back. While the damaged end is on the trailing edge of the fin, you will have no idea how it will effect water flow up into the pump. Once you take it out of the package, you own it. I suppose you could try to bend it back into shape, BUT, I'm sure you spent a lot of your hard earned money to get a "brand new one". So return it and get a "brand new one"......

Did you do a back to back test between the R&D and the Riva?

Most guys here say the R&D is better for choppy water!!

    Yes,I compared 3 grate intakes:

    OEM
    R & D
    RIVA

For the best ocean water loading and resltados gives me is the Riva.
R & D with my pwc had a tendency to go sideways, which does not go with the Riva.
