    Turbo or not turbo

Hey guys i was just curious for the turbo setup what parts are required for it to work properly and if i could still use my ski for eating crap jumping waves etc or should i just keep my 06 rxp with a SCer and build it from there.... Trying to hit 80's any mod tips for either would be appreciated thanks

U want a wave jumper? Turbo will cost more than your ski.

U will need engine internals upgraded

I don't think there is any other tangible reason to go Turbo unless you want outright speed. 80+ is easy these days with the SC's available and for a rec ski, in my opinion, more service friendly. Unless the Turbo modification is a good one (and thats open to interpretation) I think you'll spend time working on it than riding it.

I have spent more time riding mine than wrenching it.

I would not bolt a turbo onto my bog stock rxp after having the rxt. Power and torque is insane.

I have gone turbo and ride it in the surf "it's alot of fun". I can ride hard to the destination and back hearing that turbo whistling away and then smash the waves and float through the air...... I did add extra bracing to the turbo and exhaust to take the impact of jumping "Sweeeeet".

With the Motec you can flick a switch and have economy mode or Speeeeeeeed to get you back. As mentioned by "SLASHER" no clutch to worry about as some of us have had our fair share of them and SC shafts.

IMO why bother with turbo when you only want to run 80mph. Your ski cost $6K max, if you go turbo you will end up spending very close to that. So no you have $12K on your 06 RXP, if you buy a good SC, good intercooler, injectors and ECU flash that will, put you in the 80MPH or close. You can get all of that here for less than $3K. Now if i had $6K cash to blow i would sell the 06RXP and buy a 2014 FZR, ECU flash and you woil be golden!!! NO headaches!! What ever you do good luck!!!!

I think buying a new ski to wave jump is going to cause him more headaches than keeping the old ski. Not brand bashing, but doubt anything except the Kwaka hulls can take a bashing

No reason you cant run mild turbo setup and keep it reliable. Just have to some how keep your fingers off the boost knob.

No more charger rebuilds or charger blew my engine stuff.

If the turbo some how gernades then the motor will still be ok.

If you turn up the boost all bets are off!!
