Riva gen 3 intercooler performance gains?

I'm looking to invest in a a gen 3 intercooler and maybe the hard pipes as well but wanted to seek the feedback if the price for the performance can be justified,

    I have a 2013 260px with a 8600 tune,retainers, flame arrestor removed, 15/19r spinning up 8180rpm

Outside of the possible leak from the stock cooler is it really a noticeable difference in acceleration or rpm's spending $1k on these parts with the stock x charger.

I will be looking to install a 4 inch intake and repitch to around 8400rpms as well

    Appreciate any feedback

Where are you located? Spinning only 8180 with your current mods is concerning. I would hit my 8600 limiter with your mods, but I had a 15/20 and a 2009px IC. Most say the intake is pretty good stock, but I would def swap that out ASAP. I will be following since I will probably be upgrading to a GEN3 myself.

Thanks for the reply, I'm located in Australia,
it's summer here at the moment but that was wasn't on extremely hot days
At 8180 revs the dash is showing around 75 miles
hopefully will have the intake sorted sort soon and pick up a few revs

Your rpms are low for a 15/19, I used to turn 8300 in summer 35c with a 15/20, maybe better to check that intercooler now for leaks.

    Thanks Pauly
i was thinking I would be a little higher on the revs,
did you add the gen 3 to your x charger set up and did you notice much advantage in the Australia conditions
it maybe hard to tell if you did a few mods at once

The throttle response is heaps better and does not loose boost from heat soak on long runs and intake temps a lot lower

To really see gains, you need to add a 4" air along with the other mods.

I hope so. 7 foot of kanaflex the filter and adapter from the online store should help. Just need to wait for them to arrive

to this point I must say other then a slightly higher top speed I can't tell much difference over stock

Last fall my brother in law 1tommygunner1927 and I made numerous side by side runs, both of us with Motec 130s. He had the Riva Gen3 and I had stock IC. We noticed in our logs after hard 82+ mph runs his air temps were 12-15* COOLER than mine and also his recovery time was quicker. I now have a Gen3 also and he doesn't stand a chance.

Pure un biased fact with log data for proof, no BS seat of the pants guessing.
