    Broken off spark plug

I took my 300lx into the dealer to have it winterized in October of last year and they broke one of the spark plugs off while trying to remove it. Dealer is calming that the engine is severely corroded and that is what caused the plug to seize. The ski has 15 hrs on it and has been flush out after every ride the way the owners manual states. Personally I think dealer forgot to use anti seize after they did the 10hr service. I need to get the craft repaired so I can sell it and wanted to see if anyone knew of any good shops in the Houston area that could repair a cylinder head? Thanks

    Just for curiosity...

Does the shop say a new cyl head ($2000+) replacement is the only way? They couldn't just repair?

Will the extended warranty cover this or who's paying?

Did the dealer replace, remove or check the plugs during your 10 hr service?

I doubt they removed the plugs at the 10 hr service.
Why doesn't kaw put anti sieze from the factory???

When I had the 10hr service it says they inspected spark plugs. Now if they removed them to inspect or just did an external inspection I don't know. I called rich at wfo performance and he is going to take a look at it next week and see if he can repair it. Dealer didnt really get down to much on pricing for me but they wanted to put a new head on it. I just got tired of dealing with there b.s so I have decided if I have to pay to fix it I would rather pay someone else instead of them. Extended warranty would not cover the repair, not really sure as to the reason. Ive never had much luck with watercraft or extended warranties so have decided to get rid of my water toys after this.

THEY DIDNT use never sieze at the service ...........its 100% the dealer or who ever serviced it ,you cant inspect plugs without removing them!!!!!

ITS A WARRANTY PROBLEM for the shop that did your service plain and simple

now to repair it should cost much more than 4-5 hrs labour and 1 helicoil &a few gaskets

but I have personally fixed many over the years with the head on and only about 1-3 hrs labour

    Waz

You mean factory needs to pay for shop's negligence?
