    SVHO piston comparison

Here's a couple of pictures showing the SVHO piston (on left in pics) compared to the SHO piston

The SVHO piston is 4 grams heavier.
The top ring has also moved up

Thank you Dean for the pics

Hard not to simple mathematics.. Displacement is not everything, specially in Drag racing. Can't beat a well built supercharger, not to mention 1.8 liter putting 15lbs of boost at 8300 rpms that's insane!!! Started coming to that conclusion when people were telling me there running over 20lbs of boost at 9k rpm's like Taking a Sunday Stroll.

Smooth dish pistons help enhance the airflow in and out which is probably where the addition of the Vortex name comes into play, helps with the spinning motion of the incoming charge. Is the cylinder head different also Jerry? Wonder what the chambers look like.
What is a Vortex? Cool information here..

Will the SVHO pistons be a good choice for a budget SHO upgrade? The price seems to be $116 each on the parts finder. Was thinking about running these with Molnar rods @ 9250 rpm's & 22#'s boost.

If that is the real price (and if they are actually available), will these be a cost effective option - Or should I just spend the extra 4 bills for CP pistons?
