just drill and tap it with a 1/8npt. its still the similar core that you can do this on.

Is a bleeder a must on the f1000? JW as i picked one up for this season, thought i read somewhere the f1000 didnt need a bleeder…. It's just to vent out excess water pressure from the core, right?

No, ballooning from water pressure is not an issue with this cooler. To my knowledge, no intercooler that I have sold has ever had that problem. I think the early OEM external intercoolers were the only coolers to have that issue.

The bleeder mod is not necessary but I don't think it will have a noticeable negative impact. If someone wants to install it because it makes them more comfortable or for whatever other reason, I don't see the problem.
