    My 4 inch Lowe's intake

I was recently asked how I did my intake and if I had any pictures. Instead of keeping it private I'm choosing to post the pictures here so others can chime in. I don't want to point anyone in a bad direction and if there is a major issue with my setup I KNOW ya'll will chime in!

I've tried to offer all the opposing advice like a catch can instead of keeping the recycler hose, and using the kanaflex instead of what I chose. I like there to be a couple sides to the story so here goes.....

what is the extra round tube below the elbow, above the fuel tank??
what type of fitings did you use to mate the flex tube to the elbow?? to the SC?? what clamps??

he is using it as a slack filler so the straps remain tight caause removing the factory air intake leaves slack in the straps

I like that lube job! I have the same 4" tube BUT I have a 4" rubber 90{for a large truck International} over couplers and clamped down on the SC then the ribbed hose shoved into that with a ban clamp snugged up. I also ran it into the tunnel and cut it at a 45 degree angle then tillted upwards so water intrusion will go under the hose not into the intake... BUT rolling the ski would be a bad thing... Thats why goobers dont ride my ski Sounds great !

extra tube, just like said, to take up slack on the fuel tank strap

no fittings necessary. stuff the tube over the elbow and clamp er down. same with the SC'er. 4 inch adapter (RXPblasts i think, bought used here) and force the flex tube on and clamped the crap outta it

    basic stainless worm drive clamps

I also, as you can't see, just drill a hole and stuck the breather hose back in the intake. Seems some people had some problems with salt build-up on the SC impeller, so I'm just recycling it like the stock intake. Don't know if all that's totally true or necessary, but thats what i did.
