    06 gp1300r stinger 3 pipe need help

I recently purchased a 2006 gp1300r its bone stock other then the d-plate mod. The ? I have is will the riva stinger 3 pipe off a 2001 gp1200r work on my 1300r, is it the same?
Also I want to do the oil block off, but I heard this can be bad to do premix, because its oil injection is this true?
    Thanks for the help

Keep the d plate. I had the stinger 3 on mine and switched to the d plate and it was a very noticable differance. Stinger sounded mean, and had a little more bottom end....mayb. I was a hardhead about it and didnt want to run the d plate. But it was one of the best switches i made to my ski. S3's setup is only better for ease of adj carbs and removal/install ease.

My understanding is you have a 06 GP1300, no carbs to deal with ... you do need the D-plate, most likely no chip. But the OEM stinger will serve you well but you can add a Jet Works hole shot mod to the stinger and the low-end boost will be amazing. I have both a 2001 GP1200 & 08 GP1300, I have not gone to pre-mix by way of oil block off. My 01 GP1200 I changed out the oil lines with better and longer tubing & good clamps. On my 1300, my oil injector system works just fine. I have yet to find anyone that has had an oil injection pump fail or lines blow off of an 06,07,08 GP1300. It just does not happen. Not sure why you want to install a Riva 3 stinger on a 1300.

Ok, thank you, but this still does not answer my ? about taking off the oil injection on my 06 1300r, will this hurt the injectors or cause other problems? Of course I will be using a quality premix oil.
I understand there is a mod for the gp1300r stock pipe, but its bulky, and heavy I like lightweight, and room to work around the ski. So this being said will a gp1200r stinger 3 pipe work on my gp1300r is it the same pipe riva sold for gp1300r?
Thats also the reason for removing the oil injection..I know its not a ton of weight, but its also lines, and extra crap I hate seeing..

Ok, thats what I am looking for a better sound and more room in the ski..So you have a stinger 3 pipe on a 1300r or a 1200r, the reason I ask in you had mentioned adjusting carbs..

The stinger will work with no problems, i also had it on my 1300.
you only need a extra cooling line exit.

about the premix... a lot of members use premix oil and its no problem for the injectors.
Buy a block off kit and remove the pump.

I have a xlt1200. So mine has carbs, your efi. But you get more room, shed weight, and sounds mean either way.
