2008 rxpx255 comparison
Hi I'm looking at buying a rxpx255 2008, only been in fresh water with 88 hours, I'm new to seadoos, I recently sold my ultra 260x, it was an amazing ski, even though I ride in the ocean 95% of the time, I was using it for the wrong things (hard flicks, cornering etc.) also where I ride, it's not to choppy.
So I found a really cheap 255px, he hasn't rebuilt supercharger yet, what should I look out for? Is there problems with this model as it was the first 255? Are 09,10,11 255px' any different?

I put 250 hours on mine without a single problem, it's a great machine with no common problems.

It's a near bullet proof machine. Compression should be 130-150 in each hole. Remember to pull the throttle wot when doooing the compression test. It shuts off the fuel supply.
Ride it before buying.

I've seen them with 400+hrs and still racing wot.
08-09 x models are some of the best years. Just completely rebuild the s/c when u get it. Bearings n washers everytime...

I have an 09 PX, love this ski... I know there is a lot of hype revolving around the new px's but I wouldn't trade mine for a new one if it was offered to me. The non-I control skis are a pleasure to mod, and I personally love skis when they were built to go fast w.o. the crazy computer restrictions and "water-brakes". Go for the 08, you will not regret it!
