2011 RXT-X pump removal and carbon ring replacement

next month I'm going to tackle a removing the pump (prop swap and wear ring replacement 140+hours) and while I'm in there going to do a carbon ring replacement (180+hours on factory one)..

I read through the How to sections and have access to all the tools needed..

my question is.. what kind of issues can I run into while doing these things?
I basically want to have all things needed to replace if broken during removal.
I know that there is something that can strip out on the IBR. what are they?

I want to just order anything and everything that may need to be replaced this way I can just reassemble with new stuff and not have to wait for parts to arrive or trying to hunt them down.. list of parts would be great..

help from people with experience with these ski's would be appreciated..

Order a new bellow, c clip, & carbon ring. The inserts for the bolts when removing the IBR tend to spin hence a difficult time to remove.

Hopefully this link works, parts diagram on the troubled pieces

Yes, dont get crazy with the tightening of the IBR fixing plate bolts..Can be a PITA!!!!!

Order a new set of pump bolts while your at it..There are supposed to be replaced after each removal. They have a special scotch lock on them. Also DO NOT start the ski after you install the bolts for 24 hours!!!!

Here is how to do it: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=137116

I agree with Scott, replace the bellows also as is shrinks and gets hard over the years. Be very careful with the plastic thru hull fitting that the bellows is clamped to, it is plastic and will crack. Been there done that.

Torque everything down and use Blue Loctite 242 per the shop manual. If you strip out one of the thru hull brass fittings that the ibr is bolted to, you will have plenty of fun removing it.

jpt do you have the list of part that can break/strip out?

I don't know which ones they are looking at the parts list..

I was thinking of just ordering part 6,8,10,12 on the "reverse" section.. will that cover that brass/plastic fitting that can spin?

Pony, only #8 and 12 are what we are talking about, and have brass inserts in them that will strip out if overtightened.
