Impeller pitch problem
I have 2 problems with my impeller.
#1 it was made 50thousands SetBack, but now its hitting the pump stator.
i have to place the original spacer ring between it, wat was never there....
so now i have more distance between prop and pump house.
#2 My pitched impeller is not turning in my wear ring....(wear ring is 1year old OEM)
it was originally a 14/20 and pitched to 14/23.
The engine can't spin the prop, and stalls. Also there is a gap between the pump and the 2" extension what
i cannot close because the prop doesn't move further inside the wear ring..
My friends 14/21 spins with no problem. The 14/23 was a new 14/20 prop and pitched up
Wat are my options..????? Wrong pitch??
I just read that the diameter grows when pitch up... (duhh of course)
shouldn't this be compensated by the pitcher.
Not easy to make it fit and keep it round by myself..

Cant see the pics, but if you take material off the intereior hub of the impeller, you must run the washer. Hell, I run the washer on all my setups because without it the impeller will just about weld itself to the driveshaft hub, and you cant get it off
Yes, a dynafly impeller diameter will grow when you pitch up. When we pitch those, we have to recut the diameter to fit the wear ring. Yes most shops should cut the diameter, depending on who you sent it too

The prop was pitched by Jim,
How much do you take off... after bending from 14/20 to 14/23? Have to try myself.
I also spotted a YG-DF 15/22 on Ebay, Can a ported EFI 1300 spin it? What are the ups and down of a 15

it shouldnt take much, as Jim does good work and gets them pretty close
yes, a ported 1300 can turn a 15 leading edge, but you are still going to be a little small on the trailing edge (22)
