    Groco water strainers

    I know this has been spoken about many times but I am just fittiing mine to my RXP with external intercooler and was looking for a few pictures of a good install ??

    I'll snap a shot later & post it but I installed mine up behind the VTS unit on the bolts from the rear tie down. The holes matched perfectly to the bolts.

    here's a pic. Just in case you're wondering, I dropped the other nut in the hull so when I find it it's going back on.

    If you find that the strainer is hitting the hull just zip tie a piece of rubber to the container or glue it to the hull. You don't want it cracking on you!

    Anyone know if its ok to mount the strainer upside down ?

    Upside down and every time you open it to dump, all the sand and junk will end up in the hull, not to mention sand in the threads of the strainer.

    The strainer will not work upside down, they need to be can down to work properly....

    if upside down the filtered material will make its way through the other side and defeating the purpose i am sure..
