Pre Filter Only for Riva Power Filter Kits-The Fabric Stuff

yes I am going to do something different with my 4 inch air and I am looking for a Pre Filter Only for Riva Power Filter Kits

This is the waterproof fabric that goes around the riva air intake kit

Does anyone have one they want to sale?

Thought it was worth a try.

Mike, are you talking about the material of the OUTER WEAR that went around the 3" filter on the end of the intake?

yes thats it, I am thinking of just clamping it on the end of the 4 inch kana flex and being done with it.

Too restrictive...My AirFlow work showed that it was more of a restriction than anything, so everyone didn't use it, especially on the rear air...they replaced it. Get yourself a roll of material used on your standard window screen. Cut it up and wrap it around the end, clamp/zip tie it....DONE.

I suggest getting your hands on a 4" chunk of thin walled aluminum, to keep the end from collapsing when you tighten it. A rogue chunk of material will shatter the SC blades...

I suggest going to a local Auto Store, like Autozone. They have a cheap performance section. Get yourself one of these tubes...

Wrap material around one end, and the kanaflex on the other...

And if you want to, get a simple filter...

From my airflow work, having a filter will actually make the end of the Kanaflex act like it has a bigger opening, since the filter SPREADS the low pressure area. This allows air to evenly and smoothly be drawing in, instead of being chopped by a sharp edge...

yea I have one of those (without the cotton) but by the time you add the tube and step down adapter it gets heavy and chunky. I can't remember how I secured it last time so I was thinking of keeping it simple, but if the flow is not good I may decide to go ahead with it.

Easy....get 3 clamps....1 for the filter (should come with one) to the tube, 1 for the kanaflex to the tube, and one around the tube and under both tank straps....HELL, lay it where the old air box was...

If you can bend material, get funky with it...Check post #2...
