    Anyone run R&D R8 tune with 725cc injectors and C5 wheel or ET 15.5 wheel?

    Just looking for feedback and I cannot turn up much info in search from actual users. I'm looking into going beyond a C3 wheel, upgrading my valvetrain and adding more boost, but I do not want to do it with OEM injectors and/or a motec.

    my advise to you is that you get a motec
    its worth every penny !!!

    I have tried the r8 reflash with the 725cc but never got the boat to run right, the afrs where all over the place and never could get it to run clean. IMO with the three wheels you listed I don't think u need that big of injectors. I would go with a different reflash and maybe a set of the injectors like gus13letter runs. I think u can get the injectors from Jim performance also

    I am running the 15.5 et wheel with pink inj,rrfpr r3 r/d reflash with no problems.

    i'm running the R8, ID725 injectors and a ET high boost and it runs great, i heard nothing but bad about it, but i cant complain at all

    Bob are these the pink R&D injectors (relabeled STI injectors as I understand)? If so what is your fuel pressure setting? Thanks.

    Could never get the R8 tune to perform as expected and ended up going back with R3/R4 tunes and was happy. Not sure what the deal was but missing power somewhere.

    Put a R8 on a friends ski and felt like a dog. Put another R3 and power was back to normal. And both were set at 12.1 afr's at top end so it was not a fuel issue. I think there is not much advance in that flash that is what it felt to me like it was missing timing.

    I don't think that's good advise, there's probably over 100 reflashes sold out there for every motec sold, and most are happy with what they got, he'll some of the fastest skis are running reflashes. But unfortunately some people just don't know what there doing no matter what ecu they buy..
